A Day on Broadway: Joe Turner's Come and Gone

Join us for our 3rd Annual Mother's Day "A Day On Broadway" event, featuring Taraji P Henson and Cedric The Entertainer in August Wilson's "Joe Turner's Come and Gone." Set in Pittsburgh in 1911 during a pivotal era of migration and transformation, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone centers on Seth and Bertha Holly (Cedric and Henson) who run a warm, orderly boardinghouse for those navigating uncertain paths. But when a mysterious man named Herald Loomis (Boone) arrives with his young daughter, the stillness of the house begins to shift. Directed by Debbie Allen, this timeless American classic is moving story of personal awakening, collective memory, and the power of human connection.

Celebrate the women in your life, or yourself with an orchestra seat at the Saturday May 9th matinee of "Joe Turner's Come and Gone," followed by a family-style dinner at a Theater District restaurant.

The cost for this "Day On Broadway" outing is $289 per person. A $129 deposit is required to secure your reservation. The balance will be made paid with equal monthly installments. Final payment is due on April 1, 2026.
